         PREPARATION

-First step
Preheat the oven to 400 °

-secondstep
In a large bowl, incorporate corn flour, salt and water. Mix with a spoon and let stand for one minute or until the mixture thickens. Incorporate mozzarella cheese. Form four balls of dough, using approximately an cup of dough for each. Place each ball on a plastic wrap and form two inch by four inch thick circles.

-third step
Heat the oil in a ten-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook them four minutes on each side or until dark spots appear on both sides.

-fourth step
Pass them to a tray or baking tray and bake for 20 minutes or until they are fully cooked and you hear a hollow sound when you hit them.

-fifth step
Meanwhile, mix the ingredients for the chicken filling. Cut the arepas vertically to fill them but not completely in half. To serve, fill each one with two cup of filling.








            RECIPE OF AREPA RELLLENAS

INGREDIENTS:

   AREPAS
-one cup of precooked white corn flour (flour dough) for arepas
-four wells of water
-one teaspoon of salt
-one cup of grated mozzarella cheese
-one spoonful of olive or vegetable oil

  Chicken stuffing
-one cup of chicken breast, shredded
-half a cup of white onion, finely chopped
-half a cup of tomato (tomatoes) Roma, finely chopped
-one envelope of mayonnaise with lime or regular
-one Avocado, without seed and without skin, chopped
-one teaspoon of salt
-one teaspoon of pepper
